The Ontario Energy Network (OEN) is a not-for-profit organization which provides networking opportunities in support of the energy industry in Ontario, as well as supporting charity initiatives and a scholarship program. In order to continue to thrive, the energy industry needs to recruit talented young people and a diverse workforce. The OEN offers four scholarships and it is our hope to encourage students to explore career opportunities in the Ontario energy sector. For all scholarships, preference will be given to applicants with a connection to an OEN member company and/or those pursuing post secondary education targeting a career in the energy sector.
The OEN offers the following scholarships for Indigenous Energy, Women in Energy, Sustainable Development and Nuclear Studies students:
OEN Indigenous Energy Scholarship
The OEN Indigenous Energy Scholarship will be granted to an Ontario Indigenous undergraduate university or college student who has successfully completed at least one year of study in the electrical trade, engineering, IT or business disciplines, and who has demonstrated a commitment to community service.

The OEN Women in Energy Scholarship will be granted to a female Ontario undergraduate university or college student in either an Engineering or Business program who has completed her first year of study with a minimum cumulative average of 80%, and who has demonstrated a commitment to community service. Our hope is that the candidate will explore career opportunities in the Ontario Energy sector.
